Deer Mountain

This was my first time skiing in Ketchikan.  Yesterday, I hiked up the trail to the Hutte and lapped a short sunny tree run behind camp three times.  This morning I woke pre dawn and skiied this short steep fin in the sun three times.  Back at the hut I brewed some water.  Another lap near the first day’s turns.  Then I headed down and up towards Blue Lake.  I skiied this long run that was alpine to scrub forest to big trees.  On the way back to the Hutte, I got one more lap from the ridge.  Back up to the hutte where I packed and skied the last run of the day down the trail, and Back to the Fairy Chasm.
